Encouraging Women to Live Rooted in the Sacred

Dayspring

Dayspring. An interesting word, don’t you think?

Poetic and gentle—yet, strong and full of power.

Out of curiosity, I looked up this word:

day·spring
[dey-spring]
noun, Archaic.
dawn; daybreak.

That’s pretty.

But “archaic?” Hmm. I suppose the terminology is archaic, but…

The  Dayspring—the One who is the Hope of the earth—He’s timeless.

Brings new life to the familiar carol lyrics:  “…with the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus, Lord at Thy birth.”

The Dayspring. The Dawn of redeeming grace.

Newborn babe, yet altogether Lord. Tweet This

Surely not archaic in power.  Redeeming grace – such power, such beauty.

The beginning…the dawn…of grace. The Dayspring.

Jesus—gentle enough to be a newborn baby, powerful enough to be Lord.

Dayspring is so much more than a subsidiary of Hallmark, right?
I love this, Brenda, and during this time of year when we hold up all the words about Jesus and enjoy their truth, this is one that I”ve not read about!

Brenda, I loved your line, “Jesus—gentle enough to be a newborn baby, powerful enough to be Lord” Your illustrating graphic was awesome, too!

It’s so amazing that Jesus would clothe Himself in flesh and move into the neighborhood. (see John 1:14 MSG) I don’t know about you, but I’ve not always lived in the best neighborhoods! So glad He stooped down to us.

Beautiful! We just had to use the word archaic in home work this week. I don’t know why but I love the way it falls off the tongue. Have a great week friend!

Thank you for this beautiful study! Sometimes those “archaic” words have such a fullness to them that we have forgotten. Dayspring, it fits so well with another description of Jesus, “Daystar,” that came to my mind as I read your words! He is our Precious Lord, so full of beauty for us! Blessings to you!

Pretty sure I just said this about March exactly a day ago.

Slow down, Time! What’s your rush?!

Truth is, time doesn’t wait for us, but faithfully surrenders to the rhythmic path its Maker ordered it to trek.

Friend, are you feeling like all the plans you had great hopes for back in January got caught in the undercurrent of Time’s fast pace?

Guess what? It’s a fresh month, a fresh quarter, a fresh day full of new mercy & strength.

I haven’t incorporated exercise as much this year as I’d like, so I’m setting some new exercise goals for April!

What about you, friend? What new thing might you pick up, or pick back up, in April?

We’ve got this! Move over January, April has a seat at the Change Table, too!

Cheering you on, friend! On April 30th, what will we wish we had done this month? THAT, let’s get up & go do that! 💗🎉
