So many times, I’ve poured my heart out in weary

So many times, I’ve poured my heart out in weary exhaustion, and—with the very same breath—poured out praises of Thanksgiving.
.
And I’ve come to realize that “thankful” and “weary” aren’t mutually exclusive. Together they abide so often.
.
Friend, this Thanksgiving, if you’re feeling the depth of gratitude alongside the ache of weariness, please know you’re on my heart & in my prayers.
.
Our God knows what it is to be human & feel the weight of weariness. You need not feel guilty for being where you are, feeling what you feel.
.
He sees your heart, sweet friend, and loves you where you are.
.
Place your burdens in His palm; He can be trusted with them, for He cares so very much for you. (1 Peter 5:7)
.
May you rest in the peace of His presence this week.
.
Praying the fullness of His rest & joy over you, my friend. God’s got this, and He’s got you. 💗

Do you sometimes struggle to see the plans you long for as you travel life’s ever-winding path?

So often I’d like for God to unfold the map of my story onto my lap & highlight a direct path toward every plan & dream my heart holds.

Yet, more and more I’m mindful of the hope tucked into God’s word, reminding us that He goes before us & behind us and sees the end from the beginning.

As I sit in my Happy Place (also known as my front porch), I’m finally able to reflect on the beautiful, busy day that was my birthday yesterday.

Grateful for these 50 trips around the sun the Lord’s taken me on, but not gonna lie, there’s a part of me that feels like surely I’m doing the math wrong. Surely I’m still a young wife & mom with a house full of little boys.
.
Oh, how time hides itself in the obscurity of simple days one upon another, of laundry & dishes, of laughter & tears, of slow winter walks & long summer nights. We spend the days of our lives, one by one, without even realizing we’re doing it.
.
Thank you for all the sweet birthday wishes & messages & texts. You bless my heart. So thankful for you!💗
.
I didn’t remember to take a lot of pictures, but thought I’d share a few that I do have. 😊
